The period that gets the honour of the 'Golden Age' was short-lived (must be the law of Nature that - good times don't last long). The months of June and July were by far the happiest days of my stay here - Sanjay-da, Goba, Shibaji-da, Sanjiv, Sachin and myself spent a lot of time together - evenings and weekend mornings were never so much fun before! Going to office on the same bus, working together, exchanging mails & phone calls in office, leaving office together, quick visits for 'tilbuds' in Netto & Fotex on the way home, evening walks in the park, nirbhejal 'adda' thereafter and sometimes dinner together - we spent a lot of time with each other. We all knew the clock was ticking but that never damped the enthusiasm.

Saturday invariably meant a daytrip somewhere and eating out for lunch. Sanjay-da and Debasri boudi were particularly inclined to this activity as captured above. By the way, both are averse to seeing the bovine species alive - they would much rather have the same on their plates.
The trip to Frederiksborg castle was very enjoyable - we were all pleasantly surprised to see such a decent castle in god forsaken Denmark...

Then came the mandatory summer ritual - paying a visit to the Belle Vue Beach. You can see below Goba and yours truly attired in revealing beachwear :-) (No offense intended for the countless pretenders dotting the Danish beaches this summer)

We also visited Bakken (poor man's Tivoli) which is very close to the beach and enjoyed a nice little horse carriage ride.

The boat ride and the forest hike at Frederiksdal was filled with adventure and sheer adrenaline rush (ok, ok - not so much - but just a little, most definitely).....

Then the last weekend drew near. The last act in my favourite period in the Maersk project was to be played out....
We decided to eat out as usual - this time in a Chinese restaurant in Walking Street...

Then a recap of the must-see places in Copenhagen - we decided not to venture out to the suburbs and stuck to familiar home turf that Saturday.

This snap captures the spirit that we had between us. What is it that people call this nowadays - male-bonding? I prefer the old archaic English word - brothers...brothers-in-arms.....
